Hi Sureshot, thank-you for your reply, looking forward to playing my first match with the new players. I hope that I`ve not been a pain in the proverbial, with my obsession with South African cricketers, that never had the opportunity to play Test cricket during the 70`s & 80`s. CC 2018 will enable me to fantasize what might have been.

No problem at all, I think you both made good points.

Is there any chance of adding a few more, at the next database update?

Whilst reading this thread it occurred to me that this was a good precedent to include the American Bart King in the game?
Probably the greatest bowler never to play test cricket?

Especially if the game allows all-time world XIs?

That's more of a next year thing, as we don't have USA as part of our playable teams currently, I've made a note of it though.

Dan, Chris and I had a chat on this, and we agreed that if we're including these rebel tour players who didn't play international cricket, we should do so from South Africa and the touring countries. This is what we've done in the patch that is now live on Steam and Android.

Players added in the latest version listed below:

                    Andre Bruyns - 19/09/1946
                    Donald Mackay-Coghill - 4/11/1941
                    Peter Swart - 27/04/1946
                    Pelham Henwood - 22/05/1946
                    Darryl Bestall - 28/05/1952
                    Simon Bezuidenhout - 11/07/1946
                    Lorrie Wilmot - 1/06/1943

Don't know what the criteria is here but I always believed Ontong refused a call up to play for South Africa v the rebel teams because he'd qualified for England and had hopes of playing international cricket for them. He might even have got close to the England one-day team around 86-87

Great news!!!! Thank you so much!!! This is fantastic. Just loaded up my Australian Rebel Team. Just one player that is missing off the West Indies List. Franklyn Stephenson - 8/04/1959. And thanks again for taking the time out to do this.

Hi Sureshot & Hallmitchell, I can`t believe it, but I missed one. G.L.G. Watson, Gary, not to be confused with Kenny Watson. Gary Watson was selected to tour England in 1970.
Is there any chance that he can be added in the next update?
