Cricket Captain 2015: out on Wednesday 8th July

We will be releasing Cricket Captain 2015 on Steam at 11am BST, the same time as the first ball is bowled at Cardiff.

As the Australians arrive on the shores of England ahead of the 2015 series, Cricket Captain is back.

Cricket Captain has long been hailed as the best cricket simulation ever created, and the launch of Cricket Captain 2015 takes the experience to an all-new level. Now including new Indian domestic club competitions, updated and expanded stats, a new and improved interface, updated 3D graphics and a stack of other additions and improvements, Cricket Captain 2015 is THE complete cricket management experience.

With one day international records falling daily, a new aggressive breed of test cricketers and the Australians in to town to take on England, this is set to be one of the most exciting cricket seasons for a decade.

It’s about time you took control!

New and improved for Cricket Captain 2015:
    • Indian Domestic System: play as any one of 27 teams in all three formats.
    • Improved Australian Contracts: bidding between states and reserve overseas players.
    • Versus International Stats: career stats for each player against each country.
    • Enhanced Coaching: new fielding and wicket keeping coaching system.
    • Pitch Map and Beehive: additional graphical stats displays, giving you more information than ever on player performances.
    • Improved Match Engine: modelling aggression and changes to 1-day and first class games.
    • New Stadiums: five Australian and eight English international grounds.
    • Classic England v’s Australia Scenarios: six series home or away.
    • Improved Fonts and Interface: refreshed interface and sharper graphics on all displays.
    • Improved 3D graphics: new rendering and lighting system, including depth of field, shadows and animated crowds.
    • Complete Statistical Update: including every current player and new ‘all-time-greats’.
    • Sort by Column & Name Search in Player Records and Squad Views: including multiple sorts e.g. batting average and strike rate.
    • Save/Load for International Squads: Automatic saving and loading of International Squads for each match type make squad selection seamless.
    • 2nd Team Data: separate 3 day, 1 day and 20 over team data to help you choose bespoke teams to best suit the format.
    • Batting Aggression Column: Personal and combined views now display batting aggression ratings making decisions even easier.
    • Keyboard Control System: including batting keyboard controls.
    • Additional Achievements and Leader-Boards.
    • Cloud-save: cross platform integration of Dropbox enables you to pick up any save from where you left off on any CC2015 enabled device.
    • Stay On-Line: accept on-line challenges while in single player mode.

Mac, iOS and Android news to come after PC release.

Please note the footage from the stadiums is about a week old or so, thus may not fully represent what you see on Wednesday.

Its looking nice. But, a simulation game is incomplete without the feature that users can change their teams in a save
Many people have asked for this feature and it keeps on missing in each edition of the game.
We already have an option similar to this for eg when you choose full game mode. If you do well in county you get an option to select national team too. Simply implement a feature which on the same criteria gives us an option to select the county as well as national team of our choice.
The saves get boring after a few years managing the same club.
Apart from that, the game looks good particularly training options.
Hopefully with updates, we get the option to change club this edition... Even if it means just a simple change club option without any " sacked by board" feature if it makes it too complicated..

Loving the features, my concern is though (as it is in real life) that there will be less Test matches to play with teams outside the big three.

would you be able to expand on the Australian contracts. By 'improved' do you mean better than it was before, I note it is coming off a non-existent base where there is no interstate/overseas bidding for formats outside the 20/20 competition.

Is the Australia first class/one day contract the same as the county cricket off-season transfer period where there is an ability to bid on all out of contract players at the start of a new shield/one-day season?

Something I would like to see is the star rating system of your team and the opposition to show both batting and bowling stars. When you select a side to captain you see both of these but on match preview you only get combined.

The Pitch Map and Beehive seems like it would help the player to know more about a bowlers accuracy when asked to bowl to certain plans and like that 2nd XI finally displays all 3 formats.

You can also notice the Improved 3D graphics.

It's like the English and Indian contract systems, with budget controls, youth players, overseas players (with a far greater selection than the grade system of previous years), etc.

We have some screenshots on our Steam page:

England going along at a good rate in the trailer : http://i.gyazo.com/309cc67fb4ba383e37e05a248fab9b86.png

Know it's late but will Ryan Harris be retired in the game since he hasn't played for Australia in real life since the start of the season anyway?

Yes, that is a bit of an English approach...

Harris has been retired and added to the All-time Greats.

How does the Indian Domestic Contract System work? Are overseas signings allowed?
                              Waiting eagerly for ICC 2014.
