ANNOUNCEMENT! SCC ONLINE Cricket Captain 2014 league with legends and stats features.
Hello guys, we are heading into SEASON no XI (11) for SCC online league for cricket captain 2014.
Having completed full 10 seasons, we decided have a MAJOR AUCTION and to post this here if any new "captains/managers" want to join..
I will give a summary of the features and the format of the competition along with screenshots and stats files..
1) There are two separate type of tournaments -
(A) Season-wise SCC with player auctions and also legends playing with current generation players. It has two divisions with promotion and relegation system and individual player stats are maintained in excel files. Managers can transfer or loan their players to each other using their fictional in game money earned through competitions/transfers.
(B) County championship : This is more of "less edited" version of the above with county teams in it. It has no legends in it and are the default teams in the game. Individual stats of players are not maintained for this.

3) Every season end there is a "minor" auction that allows you to add left over players in your squad and also to bid for transfers/loan with other managers.
But as we finished season 10 yesterday. We are conducting a mega auction because we have 2 new managers and if more join, they will have a large pool of players to bid for. The previous participating managers will retain only 4 players and rest all of their players will be in the auction pool. So its the best time to join. After this auction, new managers will have to choose from left over players only so will end up with weak teams.
4) Im uploading some of the screens and excel files of players in auction this time and also the player stats from season 9 and 10 combined.
All those who are intersted to take part in SCC, reply in this thread. Mods will help you join and if some doubts can clear with them.
Some faqs?
1) How do you play with legends? Which legends are allowed?
A : We unretire them using editor, prepare your team and give the save file to you. All legends in cricket captain database are allowed except sir don bradman. :P
Yes, you can play with warne, hayden, D Lilley, Kapil dev, Ian Botham etc etc
2) Can I play with that save file in single player mode or online with non-SCC teams?
A : No you cant use that save file in single player. dont advance even a single day! Its considered as cheating. And you also cant play with other non-SCC members in lobby WITH THIS SAVE FILE. You can use your own save files for that ofcourse
3) Is any real money involved in the league?
A : Nope
4) How much time I need to devote? Daily games?
A : It would be better if you play daily but as such its not compulsory. A deadline is set depending on the no of games in the season. And you need finish ur matches within that period (usually a few weeks)
5) Are their any squad rules?
A : yes. there are squad rules set each season that limit the no of players you can have in your team. Also, you can play only certain no of legends in your first xi. (eg 4 or 5) rest xi have to be from current generation players only.
6) Do i retain all players at the end of season?
A : No, you are allowed only certain no of players from previous season to retain and rest go into auction pool. Its for you decide whom you wanna retain. Mostly the number allowed allows you to retain most of your key players. Only this time, we are allowing only 4 players resulting in a mega auction for season XI
7) How many managers are playing in SCC already?
Currently there are 12 managers participating in SCC. 6 in div A and other 6 in div B
If you have any other queries, feel free to ask. If you are very intereseted to join, plz join asap because if you join late you will miss the mega auction i mentioned above. After that you will have only left over players to choose from. We keep on adding features and improving the league. And have mods to monitor any cheating/editing of files.
