  • Completionist Challenge

While waiting for my posts in my Zimbabwe save to get approved, I have come up with a massive, massive challenge.

I am going to try win EVERY domestic and international trophy. The difficulty ranges from extremely easy (tournaments like Bangladesh T20) to almost impossible (ODI World Cup - I'm terrible at OD matches in Cricket Captain).

So, with that all thought out, the question remains, where do I start.

I have decided to start in India, captaining Gujurat CC (players include Jasprit Bumrah and Akshar Patel) and in the IPL, we will captain Bangalore, my favourite IPL franchise.

The international team I have decided to start with is Pakistan.

    Pakistan Schedule

    3 ODI's v West Indies (Home) - June 2022
    2 Tests v Sri Lanka (Away) - July 2022
    3 ODI's v Netherlands (Away) - August 2022
ODI Tournament v Bangladesh and New Zealand (in NZ) - October 2022
T20 World Cup (in Australia) - October to November 2022
    2 Tests, 3 ODI's and 1 T20I v Zimbabwe (Home) - December 2022
3 Tests and 3 ODI's v England (Home) - Early January for tests, March for ODI's

We will begin our series with the IPL, hoping to win that and cross it off of the list

ID:	79933A poor batting performance first up. A whole lotta starts but no scores over 25. Consistent wickets hindered our scoring rate, and it showed in the result. Hasaranga and Ahmed formed a really nice bowling partnership throughout the middle overs, but Agarwal's quickfire 27 off 11 was ultimately, the difference.

ID:	79943 Our first win of the series, and oh boy, it went down to the wire. Hasaranga and Ahmed formed another economical bowling partnership through the middle, restricting Kolkata to an achievable target. Maxwell played an unorthodox knock for someone like him, scoring at a strike rate of 115.4, allowing him and Karthik to guide us home with a 60 run stand.

Even though we only lost by 4 wickets, this was a horrendous performance with the bat. We were lucky our pacers bowled how they did, or this could have been a much bigger loss.

WHAT A GAME! A super over win is one to be proud of. Our bowlers were a little off, and I didn't have high hopes of us chasing 195. But Kohli's 73 up top and Hasaranga's 28 from 14 in the dying overs got us into a super over. Kohli and du Plessis were class in the super over and Hasaranga bowled a beautiful over to get us the points.
