  • Life is a Roller coaster - India Story

I have picked the word 'Roller coaster' from the story 'Life is a Rollercoaster - England Story' by 'Chasjs'. Hope he won't mind that.

It's my first story ever written on any forum and particularly on this forum so might not go that well in start but will catch up later.

any suggestions and comments are welcomed.

This game is being played by halleluigah on the game version 10.18 and on Normal difficulty level

In actual it's 2 September 2010 but the story starts on 26 April 2010.

World Cup 20 is going to start in West Indies from 1 May 2010.

Indian Selectors announced 15 man squad

under the captaincy of G Gambhir

there are some, not likely to be in the team of T20 or in any format, names
S Tendulkar (not playing International T20)
A Nayar (not that much known player)
I Pathan (have been out of international cricket for long)
J Sharma (was part of first ever T20 WC winning team, but not included in any format of international team after that)
S Rana (none of you might know about him)

but it was my team and i was all selector/captain/coach so i decided to choose some old some good and some new players

    let's have a start

      India Vs Afghanistan

India Won the toss coin and decided to bat first with the strong batting line up.
Captain leading from front (scored career best) and others also contributing, India managed a big total.

Chasing that big total Afghanistan start was very bad, J Sharma and I Pathan got rid of openers and middle order batsmen very early, but the lower order showed some resistance but could not manage that.

      India win by 71 Runs
Man of the Match : G Gambhir

        India Vs South Africa

Once again India won the toss coin but this time decided to Field first.
fielding first might wasn't the good decision as South African crippled Indian bowling attack and managed to score 215/6 with 2 players scoring 50+.

Chasing 215 India needed a sparkling start but failed as we lost G Gambhir and S Tendulakr very early. But V Sehwag remained at one side and kept firing but didn't get that much help from others and we lost in a close fight. V Sehwag Scored his Maiden Century

South Africa win by 18 Runs
Man of the Match : V Sehwag

Group positions after league round is over.
In Group A the results were unexpected
Bangladesh beat both Australia and Pakistan by 3 and 5 wickets respectively and topped the table

Group B was some more interesting with every team winning 1 match but there was a lot run rate difference

The expected results in both Group C&D

I like the idea of showing how the other groups finished.

Its weird but Bangledesh always seem to come first but then lose most of their matches for the next year.

Yeah they seem to do really badly, but then ace the ICC events.

I guess that's reflected in real life to some extent. Remember when they upset India in the 2007 World Cup?

I wonder if there was any match-fixing involved in Group A

Super 8 Match : India Vs Australia

After loosing the toss India was asked to bat first.
With Captain leading from front some other notable performances got a nice total of 210/9. S Tait bowled really well and got 5/48 and stopped India to get more runs on the board

Chasing 210 Australia was never around there.
T Paine and M Hussey got golden ducks. Only D Husseu and M Jhonsan showed some resistance but that was all

                              India win by 61 Runs
Man of the Match : G Gambhir
