online tournaments

Nice idea but as I am new one here so dont know if there had been such tournaments before? What is the procedure and how to manage all that stuff?

Me and qaisfarooq did one with ICC09, which went okay, and I tried to do one this year but uptake was pretty awful so I had to give up.

I have read your thread of ICC Super League and I think it would have been a great tournament if ppl would have shown their interest.
I think we can retry to start such a tournament again with some trivial changes in rules.
1.All users who want to participate can have any season’s team but all they need is to send a saved file of that team to the organizer.
2.This save files will be reviewed and if we find any batsman having more than 2200 batting points and any bowlers less than 400 points, then that team cannot participate in the tournament.
3.After submitting the save game file, do not play offline with that team as it will effect batting and bowling points of players and if the organizer finds out that change then that team could be disqualified.
4.After reviewing all the teams, a list of teams who will be selected will be posted.
5.We need at least 2 persons who can review save files to make sure the teams are not edited and also to keep checking these teams during the tournament.
6.Any county team whether Australian or English can selected for the tournament.
7.Rest of the rules can be seen on Imager’s thread of ICC Super League 2010, except for the changes mentioned above.

First of all I hope you will play fair, if yes then any one can participate. This thread is actually just for suggestions to make online game better. I am waiting for Imager's reply and then we will decide whether we will open a new thread for this tournament or keep Imager's old thread.

I will play fair and register only 1 team....u can also check my save game file whether they are edited or not

Has anyone else noticed that the teams the called "Essexx" and "RashidXI" are always online but their records always remain at 0-0 and they never respond when you challenge them?
Really strange...
